HACKENSACK, N.J. (AP) – One of the two men accused in a series of firebomb attacks on synagogues across northern New Jersey will have to come up with $4 million to get out of jail.
A judge on Thursday denied Aakash Dalal’s (ah-KAHSH’ dah-LAHLZ’) request for lower bail.
The 21-year-old New Brunswick resident and Anthony Graziano have pleaded not guilty to aggravated arson, conspiracy and bias intimidation charges. Dalal also is accused of conspiring to kill the assistant prosecutor handling his case.
Prosecutors allege he helped plan the attacks that Graziano carried out.
The Record newspaper (

But the judge said there was no reason to lower the bail.
