The sheriff's Guadalupe crackdown continues and worry escalates among residents.
Hundreds showed up to protest the sheriff's presence last night.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio moved the jail wagons to Mesa in an effort to stop crowds of protesters. But that action may be too little to late for the small town's mayor.
Mayor Rebecca Jimenez made a call to another Valley mayor with a question: "If the Phoenix police would be interested in protecting their city against criminals," says Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon.
"City officials would have to make a formal request to the City of Phoenix."
Phoenix Police Chief Jack Harris says he'll consider it, once a formal request is made.
The sheriff says Mayor Jimenez should worry first about paying his office their bill for $300,000.
