CLICK CHICK ARCHIVE - February '08 PICKS

2/29 - Etch A Sketch: Yes, I've found another certified Click Chick time waster and this one will take you back to your childhood. It's the online Etch A Sketch. It's so easy to use, no explanation is necessary. Since you're using arrow keys, you can't really make circles. But who cares! It's just a little bit of entertainment for Leap Day.

Want to know how to keep that computer screen clean? Get a dog. Enough said. Click here to see "the cleaner."

Past Visions of the Future: Don't you love pictures of what they thought the future might look like in the past? From the 1950 issue of Popular Mechanics comes their vision of the future. In the year 2000, they expected everything in the home to be waterproof where women could just use the water hose to make things clean. If only that was how you could clean your house! I know some frat houses back in the late 80s that could've used a water hose. See for yourself...

Food Hodge Podge: I've got a hodge podge of goodies this morning and most of them have to do with food... Just for you. There's MomTalk.com. This Web site purports to be a site where you can "talk, learn and share." They've got recipes, coupons, pregnancy advice, and message boards.

Supercook.com: Now here's a problem most folks face on a weekly basis. You've got a full pantry, a full fridge, but you don't know what in the world you're going to cook for dinner tonight. Try Supercook.com. This web site just lets you enter the ingredients you have and it finds a recipe for you based on those ingredients. I featured a site similar Supercook awhile ago, but this one has more bells and whistles and is pretty easy to navigate.

Steaksaurus: Speaking of more food, I found Web site that has to be funded by the beef producers. Of course, that's just an "assumption." . However, if you like a big juicy hearty steak, you need to check out www.allaboutsteak.com. This site purports to have "relevant content about steak." That means - recipes, grilling tips and links to other steak sites and blogs including one titled "George Foreman, I...I...I Think I Love You."

Netiquette: We all know that typing email in all caps is considered YELLING on the good ole' Internet. For those people who are chronic offenders, I've found a Netiquette rules site you can send to them. Netiquette home page...

2/28 - Star Trek or Star Wars: This is the ultimate game for sci-fi nerds like myself. But I was told you only want to play it once because it repeats. It's This or That - Star Trek or Star Wars. It asks: Have you ever mistaken something from Star Trek with something from Star Wars. Well, I know I have had the occasional slip. This game tests your ability to tell the difference. I got to the level DUMB GENIUS. Play the game...

Inspirational Video: First, I want you to check out the video of the day in the life of a deputy director at the California Department of Rehabilitation. He was born without arms and legs the video shows how assistive technology enables him to navigate through his daily life. Interestingly, some of those devices that make his life easier were created by his own ingenuity. Watch the video...

Alarm Clock: Hit the snooze button too often? Try the Turing Alarm Clock. True or False? False! You'd have to enter 137 to get it to turn off. That means you will be fully awake and won't hit the snooze button 5 times before you get up late and get caught in traffic. Good luck selling that pal. I see that getting thrown against a few walls. See how it works...

Kimmel and Damon: Remember, I told you about the video of Sarah Silverman announcing on her boyfriend Jimmy Kimmel's show that she was seeing Matt Damon too. Kimmel got his revenge with a video where he and Ben Affleck, Damon's best friend, claim they're seeing each other. Brad Pitt and some other stars make cameos. Make sure you check out Affleck shiny blouse/shirt thing.Again, I can't say the name of the song, but you can figure out what it is.(Note, the adult language has been bleeped, but not the song title on the screen is not). Watch the video...

Kitty Dance: And someone sent me video of the Kitty Dance. The editing isn't all that great, but if you're a cat person you might find it interesting. Think of it as the B movie of web videos.

Bonus Video: A mom grew suspicious after her 4-year-old kept getting suspended from pre-school. So she bugged her child's backpack and uncovered the teacher's verbal abuse. She called them "stupid" among other things. Watch the ABC News video...
2/27 - Don't Pinch Me Bro!: We all know that "Don't Tase Me Bro!" has joined the American lexicon. It's now morphed into a St. Patrick's Day T-shirt that reads "Don't Pinch Me Bro!" Shirts come in white, black, blue and an assortment of other colors... courtesy our old friends at CafePress - the creators of the Shatner in '08 t-shirt. Don't forget to check out the Lepre-Pimp shirt either. See the T-shirts ...

The Age Project: You have to check out the age project. You will spend minute guessing ages of people in random images flashing on the screen. The interesting thing is, I think most of them are older than they really are. When their ages are revealed, they also give you some "witty" sayings about life. See for yourself...

The Fascinating World of Henry Earl: I wouldn't believe this if I hadn't read it myself. Remember "Good Times" and how they always referred to a character Ned the Wino? Or Otis from "The Andy Griffith Show?" If you remember those characters, Jimmy Kimmel and MSNBC found the real thing. I think this sums it up: "Henry's exactly the right balance between extremely pitiful and incredibly amusing." That's according to the site. Henry's even been mentioned in Newsweek. I find it fascinating that a cottage industry has started around this man who's apparently been cited more than 900 times in the past 13 years. And there are multiple Web sites devoted to this man! He even has a song. Enter the world of Henry Earl...
2/26 - Stroll Down the Red Carpet, Pt. 1 : Some of our listeners may be familiar with EV Tribune movie critic Craig Outhier. Craig and the Click Chick did a little show here at KTAR called "Weekend Rap" not so long ago. Well, Craig with video camera in tow covered the red carpet world premiere of "Bonneville" last weekend. It happened right here in the Valley with some of its stars - Jessica Lange, Christine Baranski and Tom Skerritt - in attendance. My favorite moment? Craig calling Skerrit "Man candy." Watch for yourself...

Stroll Down the Red Carpet, Pt. 2: Let's call this one, Gary Busey, Hollyood Disaster. Apparently, while Ryan Seacrest was trying to interview Jennifer Garner on the red carpet during the E! pre-Oscar show, Busey kept jumping in and wouldn't go away. He also was a little to hands on for Garner's liking. Maybe he forgot he brought a date. Watch the video...

BBQ Spaghetti: I get the Food Network newsletter that I don't remember signing up for. However, one of the top five recipes that intrigued me was BBQ Spaghetti. It requires 3 1/2 cups of the Neely's BBC sauce and no tomato sauce. If you try it, please tell the Click Chick how it tastes. Get the recipe...

Manterns: I like what the Manterns.com web site claims: It says "The best last minute gift you'll ever give a guy...GUARANTEED!" Ok, what is it? They're Manterns! They're soy wax candles that have the scents that only men can love. There is the Ballpark - it has the smell of cut grass, peanuts and beer. There are also hot wing scented candles, a bacon cheeseburger scented candle and one that smells like a tennis ball can. Remember, these are 110% guaranteed, according to the Web site. They range from $11.99 to $19.99... if they really exist. What's more, they come in 8 oz and 16 oz whiskey glasses that you can enjoy "long after the candle is gone." This is a great gag gift if you ask me.

Supreme Silence: Fascinating story we have online on KTAR.com - Apparently it's been two years and 144 arguments since Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has spoken during oral arguments. I'm going see how long I can keep my job in by not saying anything. Read the story...
2/25 - Post Oscar Blues Edition: What happened to the Oscars? There were no streakers. There was nothing outrageous. I though Jon Stewart was funny, but the show lacked a little pizzazz ot me. What happened to Cher showing up in a headdress that has more fabric than her dress? Most (not all) everyone looked nice and safe. You can check out our Oscar slideshow and see for yourself. I ended up playing "Name how many people you've actually met who are at the Oscars? I stopped at about 7. But I'm very happy that "Falling Slowly" from he film "Once" won Best Song (pictured Glen Hansard, left, and Marketa Irglova who one for the song). Of course, I got about six text messages from people asking me about that movie saying they've never heard of it. Here's the link to the official site for Once. It's a nice little affectionate movie with a great soundtrack. I played the CD in my car over and over until it was stolen - along with my car. If you go to the web site, you can download the song for free.

But that brings me to today's Penske Autogroup Poll of the Day on KTAR.com. How do you think Jon Stewart performed as host? Go to the homepage and vote.

The Guy That Got Away With It: OK, what does a bored computer programmer do when his wife gives birth to their first child? He says, "Honey, I want to quit my job and become a rock star!" A friend challenged him to write one song a week. And one of those songs is "Code Monkey" that's become an anthem of sorts for office workers - it's also his big hit. He's got an online audience, and the rest they say is history. Read/watch the story...

Click Chick Mailbag: It's been awhile, but it's time for a trip into the Click Chick mailbag and I think it's time. Apparently, you guys didn't listen to me. I said the time wasters I give you can be addictive. The proof in the pudding is in this letter from Strung Out who's been playing the Red Square game: It reads: "Now that you have pushed this drug on me, where do I go for help! Is there some sort of 12 step program for this addiction!!?? By the way, my best score, 19...what's yours?" Dear Strung: I'm sorry, but I warned you.
2/22 - The Lion Hugs Tonight: When you're a lion, what do you do when the person who saved your life comes to visit you? You stick your paws through the fence when she approaches. He acts like he's a house cat nuzzling her and hugging her it's quite cute. Loving lion video...

Toothless on Fox: I've done a little TV and I know what it's like to say the wrong thing or have an animal defecate on your foot in the middle of the segment. But I've never had a tooth fall out in the middle of an interview with Geraldo Rivera. That exactly what happened to Jeanine Pirro. Her tooth fell out and like a pro, she just kept on going. Watch the video...

Another Time Waster: This one sent to me courtesy one of our listeners. Another thing, I think this is the most dangerous link the Click Chick has every featured. It will become totally addictive and that will make you completely unproductive and you might lose your job because of this link. It is another classic Click Chick time waster. Basically, you use your mouse to throw paper in the trash can. That's all it is and you will spend many, many minutes trying to play this game. Play the Throw Paper game

Short Stories: Got little one's at home? You'll thank me for this one. I found short-stories.co.uk. It's a web site that features short stories you don't have to buy from the bookstore. You just put the little one in your lap, log on and read away. They even tell you what ages they're for and the length, ie., how many pages you have to read. Oh, they even have stories for grown ups too. I think that is an idea whose time has come.
2/21 - Pampered Pooches: So, you have a bunch of money, what do you get for your dog? How about a couture outfit from Little Lilly in of course, LA. One of the most sent photos on Yahoo! is that of a dog wearing a dress inspired by gowns worn by actresses on the red carpet at the Oscars. The little pooch I've found has a beautiful little gown with ruffles just like the one Penelope Cruz wore last year. See for yourself...

Art Imitating Life: An Iowan who was fired by the Catfish Bend Casino on the Mississippi for posting a Dilbert comic - has been featured in the comic. His former bosses didn't like that he posted a certain Dilbert comic in which Dilbert calls the bosses drunken lemurs. Dilbert's creator plans a series of comics to describe the man's plight. Read the story...

McCain and the Lobbyist: Comments from the listeners on John McCain and the lobbyist story in the NYT are coming in. Bob W says: "If this guys said it was Thursday today, I would not believe him." Whether you agree or disagree, make your voices heard on KTAR.com's comment boards.
Read the New York Times story...

Caresquare.com: Looking for a babysitter? I know you are because since I'm single, I get babysitting requests all the time. If I'm not available, Caresquare.com may be an option. It's basically like Facebook for parents. It's a community-based Web site that allows you to share info about your babysitters, etc and babysitters/caregivers are encouraged to sign up too and use their job boards. Parents can leave feedback and reviews and even post recommendations. You can even pay for background checks on the caregiver. It's in the beta mode so I don't know how deep the info is.

Amazing Cakes: Getting married and want that special cake? Well, Mike's Amazing Wedding cakes may be just the thing. He makes wedding cakes, groom cakes and personal occasion cakes that are simply put, amazing - one cake looks like a stack of teacups, another like a man's wingtip shoe. I love the knight in shiny armor. He even has a cape! But the caveat is - they can only be delivered in and around Eugene, Oregon. But just look at the photo gallery anyway. They're works of art.

Card Toss: Congrats to Kyle Hancock and the lady who doesn't know if her boss is listening so I'm leaving her name out. They've come in first and second place on the Red Square game I introduced to you guys several weeks ago. Now, I've got a new game for you. It's called Card Toss. You toss cards in a hat or you stack them, with your mouse of course, there are other card games there too.

Just for Boomers: Are you a Baby Boomer or part of Generation Jones, then there's a Web site just for you called BOOMj.com. This lifestyle and social networking web site caters to you with info on politics, lifestyle and of course, a list of the best $10 wines.
2/20 - Twinkie Contents: Want to know what's in a Twinkie? I've never been a fan (I'm a Ding Dong kinda girl), so it doesn't scare me to reveal some of the details. Someone at Divine Caroline found out some of the ingredients in the icing filled sponge cake. Here's a tip, five of the ingredients come from rocks.

Bible Comics: If only they had these when I was teaching Sunday school! Mecha Manga Bible Heroes are a series of graphic novels featuring action packed, adventure filled tales from the Old Testament. It seems that on the cover of issue #1, David is taking on Goliath of Gath. In the Bible, Goliath was around 9 feet tall. This Goliath looks like a Transformer. I have a picture. I'm going to ask my pastor if this counts for Bible study. They should be available in Spring 2008. See for yourself...

SnackorDie.com: While you're reading that comic book, you'll need a snack. Why not check out SnackorDie.com? It features video game cookies and that includes a recipe for Cheddar Pac Man Crackers. They swear they taste similar to those Goldfish snacks. It will also provide you the perfect snack to take to one of those 80s themed-birthday parties. And you don't want to miss the recipe that explains how you make breadsticks that look just like the Quake logo and Tetris pop tarts.

Classic TV: The Click Chick is geeked and giddy today. NBC Universal has announced it will stream "Kojak," "Emergency," "The A Team" and other classic shows online. More ways to waste your time online. Just for fun, you can watch the Kojak show intro...
2/19 - The Frog from Hell: Have you guys heard of the "Frog from Hell?" Yeah, I know, it took a real genius to come up with that original name. Apparently, a 70 million year old fossil of the frog that's the size of a slightly squashed beach ball was uncovered in Madagascar. I found a picture of the big guy. Let's just say, you wouldn't be picking that guy up. See for yourself...

Save on Prescriptions: since the Click Chick wants to save you money so you can buy her something extra special for her birthday in the next few weeks, I've found a list of 13 ways you can save money on your prescriptions. Check it out...

Hillary Campaign Song: In case you missed it yesterday, Austin Hill (who was filling in for Ankarlo) played Hillary Clinton's new campaign song "Hillary for You and Me." Austin thinks its a rip off of The Jacksons or New Edition. Remember New Edition? That was long before Bobby Brown met Whitney. Watch the campaign video...

7 Best Foods: And if you're trying to stay healthy, the RevolutionHealth.com site has a list of the 7 Best Foods We Never Eat. I think people from the SW didn't come up with this list because avocado - a staple here - tops the list. You know, they call it the chocolate of fruits. See the list...

KTAR.com Slideshows: President Bush has been in Africa the past few days, make sure you check out our slideshow of his visit there. We also have a slideshow of Paris Hilton's Pussycat Dolls performance in Vegas. That includes her with a feathered tail sitting in giant champagne glass.

Celebrate Leap Year at the Zoo: I spoke of the Frog from Hell earlier, but I got a email reminder that they're celebrating Leap Year with the Year of the Frog at zoos and aquariums across the country and that includes the Phoenix Zoo. The event includes a Frog Jumping competition and a Frog Hop. Get the details...

JuicyCampus.com Backlash: Have kids in college? Listen up. Some college campuses are looking to ban a web site called JuicyCampus. It has postings, true or not, about students. Some of them racy and none of them substantiated. I found the article on our web site.

A Game for Idiots: I found a web page and it only has these words on it: "How to Keep an Idiot Busy (for at least a few minutes)" and a PRESS button. You're going to love it. It's a Classic Click Chick time waster that will have you laughing. Hint: It is a game, sort of... So keep trying. But that's all I'm saying. Click here to check it out...

Bonus Game - Fight Zombies/The Undead: I can't seem to win this game. It's you versus zombies and it's based on a story by H.P. Lovecraft. Here's my observation, since the zombies are already dead, the six shooter you're dealt isn't very effective. And watch what they do to you when the catch you - it's not exactly a nice how do you do. I could, however, be playing it wrong because let's face it, I'm only one step up from Duck Hunt.
2/18 - KTAR Cake: One of our listeners, Vicki Vasquez, made a KTAR cake for a cake decorating show at the Glendale Civic Center this past weekend. Nice work Vicki! (Click on the image to see a larger photo).

Cuban's Blog: Mark Cuban has a weblog. In it he claims the Internet is dead and boring and like most breakthroughs of any generation, it's stopped evolving. It's basically, in his words, become boring. Well, I still think it's kinda fun and entertaining. But then, I'm paid to say that...

Draconian Dress Code: Dress codes that require magic pants should be banned. Some female employees at a British store have been told to wear "magic pants to hide lumps and bumps." I'm assuming they mean girdles and Spanx (although Spanx are the greatest invention since sliced bread according to Oprah). The girls were also told to wear neck scarves to hide the body parts that aren't so swell. The guys didn't escape notice. They were told to wear bright shirts to minimize the appearance of love handles. Read the story form the London's Daily Mail. In a similar vein, I go to the Penske Automotive Group Poll of the Day on KTAR.com. Over the weekend, we posted a poll should gyms have clothing standards? Well, 65 percent of you folks agreed with me and said yes. The rest said no. What prompted that poll? I saw an older gentleman at my gym working out in short shorts. Enough said.

Kinda Weird But...: This little gizmo will help you sneak a nap in at work. See for yourself...

Cotton Monsters: Once again, I've found cute stuffed animals that are so ugly they're cute. They called Cotton Monsters. They're each 100% unique because they're made with love and recycled clothes and linens. Check out CottonMonsters.com

Ultimate Home Theaters: If I had a quarter of Bill Gates dough. The first thing I'd buy is an ultimate home theater that looks like the Bat Cave. Someone sent me a link of pictures to some ultimate home theaters and my favorite is the Bat Cave. However, the command deck of the Starship Enterprise themed home theater runs a close second. It also gives you a clue as to what rich people will be spending their Bush Economic Stimulus Package rebate checks on...

Big Burgers: How many calories are in the burger you're going to smuggle into the movie theater today? Portfolio.com has put together a little slideshow that shows you how many calories are in that burger like that 1,140 Guacamole Bacon $6 burger from Carl's Jr. and how much you'd have to run to work it off (nearly 2 hours!) Check it out before you eat...
2/15 - Shaq's Fears Phoenix: Once again, the Click Chick has sports news that our sports guy Paul Calvisi won't share with you. Thanks to my snap, crack investigative team, the Click Chick can finally reveal to you the real reason Shaq hasn't played with the Phoenix Suns yet. According to The Onion headline: "Shaq is Terrified of the Phoenix Suns after Reading about Supernovas." He said, and I'm quoting the article "If I would have known being a Sun meant being a part of a system where gravity could collapse... I would have never agreed to the trade." So there you have it. Read the "real" story...

Squishable.com: There's somebody out there who needs to play clean up after forgetting Valentine's Day yesterday. You know who you are - the one who said to their sweetie, "Oh, I'm sorry babe, it totally slipped my mind." Well, I have the way to fix it. Buy him or her something from Squishable.com. Squishables are these lovably round, fuzzy stuffed animals that are built to be squished or hugged. No matter what animal it is, it's still round. I like the Squishable frog (left), but the Squishable cows and octopi are sold out. Yes, they're cute as a button.

Pimp Your Commode: Since Pimp My Ride came out on TV, everything is getting pimped out. And now, Roto Rooter is getting into the act. Listener Robin Parsons kindly sent me the link to the Pimped Out Powder Room Sweepstakes. Your dream bathroom could have everything from a laptop, iPod sound system, coffee maker (although I'm not down with food in the bathroom), a towel warmer/LCD TV combo and a luxury toilet.

Who Would Kirk Vote For?: This comes under the category: A Little Too Much Time Spent in Mom's Basement. Someone has posed the question... Who would Capt. Kirk vote for? And they made a YouTube movie with the answer. He uses Star Trek figures to act out a debate between Kirk, Spock and Dr. Bones McCoy. Now, the subject isn't funny, it's serious talk. But I did laugh at the figures themselves and how the Bush administration is accused of violating the Prime Directive. That gives away the creator's political leanings. Watch the video...
2/14 - Witchcraft Trial: It's a story you might think came from the Salem witch trials, but it's not. Saudi Arabia is going to execute a woman accused of witchcraft and performing supernatural acts. You can find it in our World and Middle East news sections on KTAR.com.

To Obama, With Love: OK, if you're a fan of Barack Obama, there are some Obama Valentine's you can send to your sweetie. One reads, Obama is for lovers. Thanks to Adam K for that one.

Deputy Dumper: Shocking video that has a Florida deputy in trouble. A man was wheeld into the jail on a traffic warrant. He was told to stand up. And the deputy dumped him out of his chair and then searched. That sound from the Today show. Watch the video and Today show interview...

A Very Jib Jab Valentine: Forget the regular Valentine's Day cards, Jib Jab has SOME sendables you might like to send. I don't recommend all of them. But the ones I like include the Tango Valentine, Valentine Dance, and my favorite the Grumpy Heart - which is a message from a heart, literally. And then there's the Shakespeare Valentine's Day. Since it's Shakespeare, it's a risque. These are for grown-ups only. I don't recommend sending them to your boss.

10 Hottest on Screen Kisses: And just for Valentine's Day, MSN has put together the 10 hottest screen kisses. You might not agree with the whole list. I know I don't. But what was dead on? Picking the kiss between a 19-year-old Lauren Bacall and her future hubby Humphrey Bogart in "To Have or Have Not." She kissed him twice by the way...

That Kid Can Sing: This 7-year-old boy can really sing the National Anthem...
2/13 - Alien Lamp: I found the perfect Valentine's gift for your friends who believe that there is life in outer space, who believe Capt. James T. Kirk will make the best president and who actually speak Klingon (I know people who do!). It's the Alien Abduction lamp. It's "a lamp for SCI-FI fans of all ages." Of course, it's only in the concept stage, but we'll be waiting because we are not alone. Check out AbductionLamp.com...

Ceramics Sale:Want to own some real art? ASU's Art Museum is having the Soul on Fire Ceram A Rama on February 23. Basically, you get to bid on pieces of art in their auction. They've got some interesting pieces you can, of course, check out online.

Click Chick DVD Grab Bag:Register for your chance to win "Elizabeth: The Golden Age" on DVD only from Universal Home Entertainment. Cate Blanchett was nomintaed for an Oscar for her performance in the pic.

Blue Collar Sub Prime: Of course, the fellows at MyBlueCollar.com are responding to the nation's sub prime problems, with a funny little video of how easy it was to get money for a house from a broker during the sub prime craze. Thanks to Tom L. for the link.

Bittersweet Moose: A Rochester, Vermont moose is the darling of the chamber of commerce there, because he's super friendly and drawing visitors. However, wildlife officials think he might be in the first stages of a fatal disease that make him loose his fear of people. Watch the story...
2/12 - 30KPS: It's a speed, but probably one you've never heard of. It's the speed at which images of cute little kittens are flashed on the screen before they stop - then start again. Just another one of the cute cat web sites like CuteOverload.com.

DollyParton.com: I haven't done a celebrity web site in a long time, but this one amused me. When you go to the page, don't skip the intro. It's quintessential Dolly. If you're a fan, you can find out when she's going on tour, and information on her theme park.

PracticallyEdible.com: I LOVE to eat. And people seem to like when I have food links, so I found another food site. Practically Edible is a food encyclopedia. In addition to explain what everything is from A Blanc to Waldorf Astoria Salad, it lists recipes and all kinds of other juicy, tasty tidbits.

GasBuddy.com - It can "help you find cheap gas prices in your city. It is a network of more than 179+ gas price information websites that help you find low gasoline prices."

Rambo Stats: Now, I admit, this one is silly. But it speaks to the role of the action hero in a movie. But I find this mind boggling. Someone with a lot of time on his hands put together some figures on the Rambo movies. Anyway, the most interesting numbers? More bad guys get it when his shirt is off in the first three movies. He keeps his shirt on in the last one. How do I know, I'm still suffering from the emotional scars of sitting through that one.

Star War Paraphrase Theater: I give you ladies and gentleman, Star Wars Paraphrase Theater. One actor, in multiple roles including that of Princess Leia and an Imperial officer, acts out his interpretation of the princess defying the Imperial Army. Someone out there finds it humorous, and I mean some one person.
2/11 - The Year You Were Born: What happened the year you were born? Well according to infoplease.com, if you were born in 1920 the 19th Amendment was ratified giving women the right to vote. Federal spending was $6.36 billion and the cost of the stamp was 2 cents. The year I was born, we landed on the moon, Nixon became president, the median household income was $8,389 and the cost of a stamp was 6 cents. By the way, Boston won the NBA Championship and the Jets won the Super Bowl. Oh - that was 1969, in case you're wondering. They even have calendars from the year you were born so you can find out when you arrived on the planet. Thanks to Tammy Hill for that link.

I Can Drive 55: It's called "A Meditation on a Speed Limit." Some Georgia University film students made a documentary film about going the speed limit. So they all got on the freeway, and went 55 in the number 1-4 lanes, setting up a virtual blockade making it nearly impossible for people to pass. It looked like a parade, rather than the normal flow of traffic. The other drivers would try to get their attention. Well, kids, it's an interesting look at how other drivers react when you go the speed limit, but your audio levels need just a tiny bit of work. Watch the 5 minute movie...

KTAR.com Slideshows: Just for Ned Foster, I found a photo of Tina Turner and Beyonce together at the Grammys. I won't tell you which was wearing short shorts. But for those of you interested in those kind of things, there you go. It's on KTAR.com in our Photo Gallery section. Look for our slideshow from the Grammy's. We also have a slideshow from the Westminster Dog Show.

Autograph on eBay: So, Meadowlark Lemon spoke at my church yesterday. He also sang a couple of lines from Sweet Georgia Brown and told us we needed to learn how to boogie, but I digress. He says he doesn't like writing checks anymore because the cancelled checks turn up on eBay. So, I went on eBay and low and behold, you too can get a check signed by Meadowlark for only $139.
2/8 - Barack Obama Parody: Valley resident John Waldron has quite the funny bone. He put together a Barack Obama parody. He sent it to me and said he hoped it was Click Chick worthy. Well, yes, John it is. You know that song, "Like A Rock"? He made a video parody called "Like Barack"

FindAGrave.com: You know, when I go to England, I love to walk through old churches and museums and look through the old adjoining graveyards. However, if you want want to know what the graves of the well-known deceased look like? You can check out FindAGrave.com. I'm not fascinated by that, but someone out there might be. The final resting place of Anna Nicole Smith is one of the most searched links on the site.

Cool iPod Covers: Thieves may have gotten my car and cell phone, but they didn't get my iPod. And to make myself feel better, I'm considering getting an iPod cover. And not just any iPod cover. I'm seriously considering getting the Gumby iPod cover. I found a slideshow of some cool iPod covers and there's one that looks like the shag carpet in my childhood home. Don't think I'm getting that one. But there's one that looks like a slice of a vinyl record. Remember those? See the iPod covers...

Cool Receipt Scanner: Remember I told you about that web site (FileMyReceipts) that stores your receipts so you don't have to keep all that paper? Now, I've found a scanner by about the length of a ruler and about an inch and a half thick that can scan your receipts and documents too. They have a machine for business cards too. Surfing Cats: Yesterday, I gave you yet another cute litte hamster eating something video. Now, I give you a surfing cat. We've seen surfing dogs, but the surfing cat is new to me. Watch the video...
2/7 - Click Chick Political Investigation: Johnny O with the Click Chick's snap crack political investigative team has found out why Barack Obama lost the New York primary. It's because Obama Girl didn't vote! She told the NY Times she didn't get a chance to vote because she was in New York, but she lives in New Jersey. Uh, NJ had a primary the same day. She said she was sick. She was in Arizona for the Super Bowl and she says she gets sick every time she travels. Read the whole story...

WackyUses.com: I found a new site this morning called Wacky Uses. Now once you get past the bit too long intro, you will find a list of wacky uses for products that weren't orginally intended when they were created. For instance, did you know that you could use Alberto VO5 conditioning hairdressing to prevent silver from tarnishing? Or that one of your bounce fabric softener sheets helps repel mosquitoes?

Popcorn Hamster: I've got another cute hamster video. Someone put his hamster on the piano and gave him a piece of popcorn to munch on. Remember Mocha the hamster eating his first broccoli?

Movie Money: Every once in awhile, the Click Chick's alter ego, Flick Chick, gets an email about what leads the all-time world wide box office - meaning, what's made the most money? There are several sites that do this, but I've found a link to IMDB.com that will give you the details as well and so far, Titanic is still the most successful film of all time. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King is second. Occupying the number 3 through 6 spots - either a Harry Potter film or a Pirates of the Caribbean film.

TheEpicentre.com: If you like to cook, try the The Epicentre. It's an encyclopedia of spices and has recipes, info on wine and drink, etc. Also, it has a handy-dandy conversions page for oven temps, dimensions, and volume and weight - meaning it will tell you that 2 mL equals half a tsp. I didn't remember that from elementary school and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
2/6 - Email Dirty Tricks:The Washington Post is out with a story called "Dirty Tricks, Version 2.0: Email Sent to Friends." Apparently, some last minute emails went out to voters about Barack Obama and his "alleged" feelings about Israel. Another questions John McCain's Vietnam War record. So, the Post called the people who forwarded the erroneous emails and asked them about it. It's an interesting read. And for the last time the email circulating that claims Obama is a Muslim is not true.

Romantic, Yet Dysfunctional: Just in time for Valentine's Day, MSN is out with it's 10 most loathsome romantic films or as they say it, "Ten beloved romantic movies that are annoying, cloying or unintentionally dysfunctional." Pretty Woman made the list, along with You've Got Mail, The Way We Were, and Ghost and others.

Red Square Congrats: Congrats to mark wuollet. Re played red square - that Click Chick timewaster I told you about yesterday. He said his high score was 20.969 seconds. My personal best still lies in the 4 second range.

Trading Shawn for Shaq?: The Click Chick is going on a hunger strike or do something drastic. Shawn Marion is her favorite Phoenix Sun to watch. If he leaves, well, she'll have to take drastic measures.

Dude, Where's My Car?: Yes, if you were listening to our Super Duper Tuesday War Room coverage on KTAR last night, Ankarlo gave it away that someone stole the Click Chick's car. Indeed, someone did take it without permission from the parking lot at my gym. If you see my 2002 Silver Mustang license plate 202-LGN call police. I want the car and my Stevie Wonder CD back. I subsequently sent notes to my friends saying, hey, mail me your phone numbers my cell is in my stolen car. And I got some fun responses and ranked them:
Most Useful: www.lojack.com
Most surprising (from a friend's dad): "Sorry to hear of your loss! Tractor show this Sat & Sun at Sahuaro Ranch Park - good times."
2nd Most Surprising: "Would you take it back if it has been stripped?"
Best advice from an attorney: "If it was one of my ba#$% clients, I'll ring his/her neck."
The most unprintable: "*#@" and "&^%$"
The sweetest: "You can use my Land Cruiser"
Most Likely I'd Share on the Click Chick Blog : "Just know you CAN talk to a lawyer. Get a $30 ½ hour referral consultation throught he AZ State Bar."

Shakespearean Insults: Someone asked me what I would do if the theives who took my car were found. And I thought, I would go to court and hurl a couple good Shakespearean insults at them. And guess what I found on the Web? There's a Web site with a complete list called the Shakespeare Insult Kit. How does "Thou motley-minded, onion-eyed son and heir of a mongrel" sound?
2/5 - Super Tuesday Ron Paul Plea: This is from the Click Chick mailbag. I often get notes from people telling me that Ron Paul doesn't get enough press from the media. But Bob Wyman was kind enough to send me a note telling me a vote for real change would be a vote for Ron Paul. He also told me me my "a-*" got big like Hillary's. Just a suggestion Bob. That's not the proper way to convince me to vote for Ron Paul. Since Paul's supporters don't think their candidate gets enough media attention, so I'm posting Bob's letter as is in its entirety. Bob, next time use spell check.

Vote tomorrow for....RON PAUL!!
That's right!! you can buck the lame-brain trend of politics-as-usual, and vote for a guy that represents...TRUE CHANGE....!!- A rational, intelligent choice for a rational, intelligent man- think of him as a small, flickering candle of rare and unfathonable intelligence, surrounded by a category 8 hurricane of mundane, same-old-rhetoric politicians that can sell themselves easily to the stupid masses of our society who are zombie products of the american socialist youth propaganda camps aka the public school system. Quite a few of these brainwashed "eloquent" retards are from the upper midwest, and end up at schools like "Berkley" and move on to media puppet jobs like....YOURS!! SINCERELY
Bob
P.S. - Man, Hillary's A-- got BIG!- kinda like YOU!!
(Brought to you by Libertarian community support foundation- We sponsor community enhancement projects emphasizing remedial re-education for local mass media mutants who have a few extra chromosones to spare.... our motto is- "SOMEDAY, WE WILL HELP (name omitted) TO MAKE A COMPLETE SENTANCE....CONSISTANTLY!!" )

** Note: The Click Chick is a UC Berkeley alum and proud of it. The only candidate she's endorsed is Capt. James T. Kirk (AKA William Shatner) for president.

Sarah Silverman Parody: It's the video parody everyone kept telling me about yesterday. Comedienne Sarah Silverman gave her boyfriend Jimmy Kimmel a video for his birthday on his show. During the song she told him she was seeing Matt Damon on the side. Damon even appears in the video. Sorry, I can't even tell you the title of the song. So, consider that a warning. Watch the video...

Red Square Game: I have a new game you guys are going to absolutely love. It's a Click Chick proven time waster and I'm rather embarrassed by the amount of time I've wasted playing it. But, that's what a good Click Chick does. It's called Red Square, but it has nothing to do with communists or Russia. The object of the game is to move the red block around without getting hit by the blue blocks or touching the black walls. If you last longer than 18 seconds, you're phenomenal. My best time - 4.63 seconds. Play the game...

Abercrombie and Fitch is causing controversy again. This time for some ads. Remember how those amazon-sized posters for Victoria's Secret ruffled the feathers in some boas in Gilbert? Well, in Virginia Beach, Florida, some people have taken issue with A&F ads displayed in a mall store they deem to be too risque. Watch the story...
2/4 - Super Bowl XLII Redux: Breaking News - NEPPD - aka, New England Patriots PD has cancelled an APB for Randy Moss. They issued it during the first quarter, but he surfaced during the fourth. Sorry Pats fans, I had to get that in. Since the Raiders and the Chargers weren't in it, I focused most of my attention to the Super Bowl ads. My favorites, Charles Barkley repeatedly calling Dwayne Wade, the e*Trade baby surfing the Internet and spitting up over everything (a future Click Dude in the making if ever I saw one) and of course the ad for Will Farrell's Bud Light Jackie Moon TV commercial.
• The easiest place to watch the ads is on YouTube/adblitz
Super Bowl Ads - stories, products, etc.

Today's Penske Automotive Group Poll of the Day on KTAR.com asks about your favorite Super Bowl ad. Make sure you vote. Ned, if it makes you feel superior, R & R Partners ad agency called the Charles Barkley Dwayne Wade commercial "most tired idea." I still think it's funny and I put it as one of the choices on the poll. Along with the "Mouse Trap" Doritos ad. That was hilarious and I'm not ashamed that I laughed. Read Slate.com's review the ads.

Political Cartoons: Many thanks to listener Carolan Quenneville for her submission. She asked if I'd ever seen Daryl Cagle's Professional Cartoonist index. It's an index of political cartoons. No, Carolyn. I hadn't seen it but thanks for sharing it with me and our listeners.

Super Tuesday Preps: Still undecided for tomorrow? Project Vote Smart helps you at their website www.vote-smart.org. It's bi-partisan and helps you figure out where the candidates stand on issues you stand on. It has issues positions - ie, the political courage test, interest group ratings of the candidates and public statements. Want info on federal candidates, try opensecrets.org. It has the FEC filings. My Super Tuesday predictions: Look for John McCain to become the unstoppable GOP front-runner, although you could see Romney get a good chunk of some of California's delegates. Hillary, you'll win some, you'll lose some.

Personalized Song : OK, onto the next national holiday - Valentine's Day or as one friend calls it Single Awareness Day. Or Hallmark Day to my old high school buddy Finn. Remember, you have 10 days to get those gifts and dinner reservations, ladies and gentleman. Or how about a personalized song just for the one you love? Valley resident Nathan Brill emailed me and said, "Hey, I can create songs for people. Share my email." I said, well, I usually deal with links. Overnight, he created www.thissongisforyou.com . (Does this make me his muse?) You sit down with him tell him your feelings and he creates a personalized song for the one you love. You can hear a sample of his work on the Web site.
2/1 - Alien in a Jar: Someone has too much time on his hands, but he's very clever. The comic genius took some molding clay, a mason jar, some Coke and made what looks like a preserved alien baby from a failed science experiment. He says it's a great conversation starter. I think it's a perfect way to scare women off. But that's just me. See how he did it...

Vote-Smart.org: Still don't know who you're voting for on Super Tuesday, try Project Vote Smart's Web site. It's bi-partisan and helps you figure out where the candidates stand on issues. It has issues positions - ie, the political courage test, interest group ratings of the candidates and public statements.

McCain Political Cartoons: The folks at Slate has put together a little slideshow of political cartoons featuring GOP frontrunner John McCain. Check it out...

Super Obama Girl: Obama girl is back with another video. This one is called Super Obama Girl. And I'm wondering, if Paris Hilton got a record contract, why can't she? It should be noted, she's got some clothing on, but she is wearing much less than Wonder Woman did. And she's got no gold bangles. Super Obama Girl video

Million Dollar Makeover: Hey guys, let's help the AZ Humane Society. Zoo Too is holding the first and only National Pet Shelter Makeover Contest. More than 900 shelters nationwide are signed up and one of them can win a $1 million makeover. All you do when you go to the site is select Arizona and type in your shelter zip code (85021). Here's the caveat, you get points for your shelter by rating pet products and service.

FileMyReceipts.com: OK, I'm sure most of us have received our W-2s or 1099s by now and I know you're already busy working getting those receipts in order. And I know some of you have realized that you got tons of receipts that you left in the car a few days to long last summer and you can't tell what you bought because it looks like the receipt turned into a piece of paper charcoal. The cure is FileMyReceipt.com. You just scan your receipts, and upload them to the site (they claim it's secure) and upload it. It helps you manage and keep important receipts and documents. Of course, you do have to have a scanner and scan them.

Worried about security on these sites you're checking out? My recommendation: Use Firefox. That is an official recommendation by the Click Chick over IE for those who are security minded. There is no question that non-IE browsers are safer although IE 7 is a major step in the right direction.

Disclaimer: While I didn't have any security problems with any of my site recommendations, "your results may vary."
