Kurt Warner out Sunday

by Sports 620 KTAR (November 29th, 2009 @ 10:14am)

NASHVILLE, Ten. - Multiple sources have reported that Cardinals QB Kurt Warner, after practicing all week, woke up not feeling well Sunday and will not start today's game. The quarterback's agent confirmed that he will not play against the Titans.

Warner carried a questionable tag going into Sunday but was expected to play following a mild concussion sustained in last week's win over the Rams in St. Louis.

Backup Matt Leinart will take Warner's place under center for what will be his first start since early in the 2007 season. The former first round draft pick has been under scrutiny of late for shaky performances in relief of Warner.

This is awesome win or lose. We need to give Matt Leinart time to work his rust off him and his timing into him. He cannot improve with practice alone. We need to cheer him on win or lose.
