Ash's Random Thoughts for this week...

* I can't believe I have left University of Phoenix stadium four times this year in a very bad mood! Yes 4 times, as I felt sick to my stomach after they let the Texans back in the game a few weeks ago. The team needs to quit worrying about who is saying what about them and just play football. If they do that I think they will be fine, but they definitely left the proverbial door wide open in the NFC West. This week at Chicago will be tough, but after that there are a couple of gimmies on the schedule with Seattle and St. Louis.

* The World Series has been very good and very predictable. I have said exactly who is going to win each game so far in this series. With that being said, the Yankees will close out Game 6 Wednesday night and add their 27th World Championship.

* Could Chase Utley win the MVP of the World Series? Hear me out… There isn't a clear cut MVP on the Yankees so far. Utley is absolutely killing Yankee pitching and has a whopping five home runs. Let's say the Phils win Game 6 and Utley has another good game and maybe adds another homer and then the Phils lose a close Game 7. Could it happen? I doubt it as the writers will give it to Rivera which wouldn't be a bad call at all.

* The big debate is on in the BCS. Here comes Oregon fresh off a thrashing of USC and already people are talking about what happens if somehow the two teams in question are Oregon and Boise State who beat Oregon pretty bad in Week 1. Does Boise State's body of work for the rest of the year keep them ahead of Oregon who had a much tougher schedule? I think you have to go head to head and if you do Boise State wins. However, I seem to remember this debate last year with Texas and OU and we all know how that turned out.

* Suns are off to a nice start and now head back east for a tough five-game roadie. I was wrong when I said I didn't want to see Channing Frye jacking up three's all game. My bad! Keep shooting big fella. Shaq who?
