PHOENIX - The Phoenix Suns Wednesday announced the roster for their 2009 entry in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
Suns draft picks Earl Clark and Taylor Griffin will be playing on the team that will be coached by Dan Majerle, as will current Suns Alando Tucker, Robin Lopez and Goran Dragic.
The rest of the team is made up of un-drafted rookie free agents trying to be invited to Suns' training camp later in San Diego.
Among them are guard Chris Rogers, formerly of the University of Arizona, and Mesa High School product and BYU star Lee Cummard, a sharpshooting forward.
Other notables are 7-foot center Kaspars Berzins from Latvia, Josh Carter from Texas A&M, Geary Claxton from Penn State, Zabian Dowdell from Virginia Tech, Micah Downs from Gonzaga, Jiri Ubalek from Iowa State and Carlos Powell from South Carolina.
The games, starting July 13 for the Suns, will be played mostly at the COX Pavillion, with the final contest of the summer being played at the Thomas & Mack Center on the UNLV campus.
