PHOENIX - Phoenix Suns forward Amare Stoudemire will be sworn in as a special deputy by Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio on Tuesday.

Stoudemire, a central figure in the Phoenix area, has contributed to many charities benefiting youth in the Valley since becoming a member of the Suns.

The official swearing in will be at 2:00 P.M. with Sheriff Arpaio at his office in downtown Phoenix.

C'mon Stoudemire... It's great that Stoudemire contributes to charities in the valley, but really what's up with this? Why is he doing this??
