Wells not at OTA's but gets information from Cards

TEMPE, Ariz. - First round draft pick Beanie Wells has not been able to participate in the teams' OTA's over the last three weeks, but he does know what's been going on and is being kept up to date.
The running back from Ohio State is still in school and therefore is not allowed to be working out with the team.
Even though Wells is in Ohio he still talks with running backs coach Curtis Modkins throughout the week.
"We try to get him information from every day's practice, coach Modkins will talk about it with him, go through it with him, and keep him up [to speed]," Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt said after Wednesday's OTA.
Not only do Modkins and Wells talk about the playbook, but they go over video from the OTA sessions.
Not the most ideal way to introduce a rookie to the NFL, but with what they have to work with it's the best option and coach Whisenhunt understands that.
"[Wells] gets video from us that he can look at, but it's not the same as being out [at OTA's] and experiencing it, talking to teammates."
The Cardinals are now in their third week of OTA's, meaning Wells has essentially missed 10 practices.
