Bio: Eric Sorenson

Position: Executive Producer of "Gambo & Ash" weekday afternoons 1:00-6:00 on Sports 620 KTAR…it's one of the longest running sports shows in the country and if you don't believe me, just ask Gambo.

Years with the company: Umm...several. 11, I believe although that's spread out over numerous different owners of KTAR during my tenure.

More on what you do (at work): What I frequently tell people when asked this question is I do everything except talk on the radio. My daily responsibilities include booking guests, developing topics, and overseeing all aspects of "Gambo & Ash." I also serve as Gambo & Ash's therapist, confidant, and overall lackey. When I don't feel like elaborating on my career, I simply say I trim palm trees and run a drop house. That usually ends any additional or follow-up questions.

Education: Hopi Elementary, Ingleside Middle School, Arcadia High School, Yavapai College, Texas Christian University.

Family: Wonderful mother and father...no siblings because I'm a handful as it is.

Favorite restaurant: America's Taco Shop,In N Out, Tee Pee (the original one on Indian School), Don & Charlie's, Donovan's, Anthony's in San Diego

First job: In radio, worked in the KTAR mail room after getting my college degree (nice, huh?). Before radio, busboy at Red Lobster-it's now an insurance company, I think.

Favorite spot in Arizona: Far too many to count. Some include the cool pines of Prescott, the top of Snow Bowl, Lake Powell, downtown Casa Grande. OK, the last one not so much.

What is in your iPod: Foo Fighters, Green Day, Rage Against the Machine, Counting Crowes, Pearl Jam, Linkin Park, Cypress Hill, absolutely positively no country or re-joins you might hear on Doug & Wolf.

Favorite team: TCU Horned Frogs, Suns, San Diego Chargers, ASU

Favorite athlete: LaDainian Tomlinson

Favorite sports memory: The first 56 game minutes of the 1997 Rose Bowl…I don't remember how that one ended-at least that's what I keep telling myself. Also, LT's 406 yard rushing game at TCU…too bad he'll never be anything in the pros "because he played in an option offense in college." Yes, it's still a sore spot, Mel Kiper, JR.

Best sports event worked/covered: Numerous. Ohio State-Miami 2002 Fiesta Bowl, Boise State-Oklahoma 2007 Fiesta Bowl-gotta love the mid-major getting it done! Eagles-Cardinals NFC Championship, pretty much any Suns playoff game-excluding this year. Oops, did I just that?

Bucket List: Sky dive, visit Australia, shorten the baseball season to 101.5 games, measure the circumference of Ash's head, become the travelling secretary for Sports 620 KTAR's commissioner Dave Burns, teach Gambo how to speak, see the Chargers win the Super Bowl…we can all dream, right?
