CLICK CHICK'S DAILY PICKS*
I'm Gayle Bass, the Click Chick, and this is my daily blog of what's weird, wacky and wild on the good old world wide Web. Is there a Web site you can't live without visiting everyday? Is there a video on YouTube that cracks you up every time? Email it to me at gbass@ktar.com. And you can check on me at twitter.com/theclickchick .Friday, November 20
Cop Clinging Cat: It was a bold and brazen attack on a Texas cop. While he was conducting a traffic stop and writing out a citation, the assailant attacked. He's described as black, small, with four legs and a flea collar. As you can probably surmise, it was a cat. The cop was pretty patient while the kitty climbed all over him while he did his job. It was caught on a police dashcam and I believe the cat is up for administrative review. Watch the kitty "attack" the cop
Extra Kitty Video: We've all seen the video before of the cat stalking it's owner. But someone has added some dramatic music to make it funny. Watch the video
Toast Timewaster: Since we're on a food theme, a friend sent me a Timewaster. Don't know where he got but Rich N. wrote: "Everyone's heard about the image of Jesus reflected in a refrigerator or the Virgin Mary burned into a piece of toast. Now you can make your own virtual toast with a celebrity's image burned into it" with CoolToast.com. You can choose from the popular Jesus and Mary, as well as other religious figures and Wolf Blitzer, for some strange reason.
Avoiding Turkey Day Clogs: Thanks to Benjamin Franklin Plumbing for this link. If you want to avoid Thanksgiving Day clogs when the family shows up to eat all your food next week, BFP has some helpful tips for what you should avoid putting down the drain, besides grease and turkey bones.
Picture of the Day: Coca-Cola has a new product on the market, but it's not available in stores (wink). It involves bacon. Enough said.
Crazy Sandwiches: A listener sent me a link with a short note that said only "Goofy site." And guess what folks. She's right. It's a collection of insane sandwiches (at Insanewiches.com) and being a sandwich lover myself (turkey, avocado, bacon combos are heavenly), I love this link. You'll see sandwiches shaped like puzzle pieces fitted together. And since it's the holiday season, you really need to check out the Giftwich. It's Dagwood style in terms of size, but it looks like one heck of present if you like ham and cheese sandwiches. And don't skip The East Meets West Dog. It may look like sushi, but it's really a hot dog.
Mail Order Food: If you can't make it home for the holidays, but you would really love to send a dish anyway, try Zingerman's. Zingermans has mail order food that looks pretty delicious and one of our listeners absolutely recommends their Sour Cream Coffee Cake. I say, if you can't make to your mom's, send a coffee cake.
Recipe Repository: Found this Web site goofing around my iPhone last night. It's called Big Oven. It has more than 170,000 recipes and you can post and rate your favorite recipes.
