CLICK CHICK'S DAILY PICKS*

I'm Gayle Bass, the Click Chick, and this is my daily blog of what's weird, wacky and wild on the good old world wide Web. Is there a Web site you can't live without visiting everyday? Is there a video on YouTube that cracks you up every time? Email it to me at gbass@ktar.com. And you can check on me at twitter.com/theclickchick .

After Long Last, Another Bacon Link: Have you guys noticed something's been missing from the Click Chick segments of late? I mean, I believe it's been over two or three weeks since I mentioned the one thing I'm really known for more than my keen wit and devastating beauty - OK, yeah, that was a stretch. But really, when was the last time I mentioned bacon? Bacon. I love you and it's been awhile. But thanks to listener Janie Hughes, I've a got a new bacon link (at least I think it's new, I've posted so many). It's the incredimazing Bacon Flowchart. Is it useful for something (maybe). Not really, but it's pretty funny.

Not Mensa Ready?: If you think E=MC2 is Mariah Carey's new album (and not the theory of relativity) or if you think the Pythagorean theorem is a mixed drink. And if you're sick of being rejected by Mensa, why not try the Not Mensa - the interplanetary society for the stupid? They "provide a forum for dim-witted, mindless exchange between our low IQ members. It's activities include the exchange of silly jokes, discussions on irrelevant topics, mindless ponderings about trivia..." The society believes that "even the dumb and the ignorant are geniuses." You know, I think I know some members. Just for fun, you can take the real Mensa's Fun Test.

Timewaster: It's silly and a quintessentially Click Chick Certified Timewaster because it really is a waste of time. I don't even know what you call it. All you do is press a button and a big horned sheep will do an acrobatic flip across your screen. A listener wrote: "For real office fun, wait til a coworker walks away from the 'puter and reset his/her homepage to that, or something equally annoying." That's a practical joke I can live with. I'm going to try that with the boss's computer.

Hacking Britney: And poor Britney Spears keeps getting hacked. At least, her Twitter and MySpace accounts were hacked and some nefarious soul posted messages that she worships the devil. Read the story...

2012 - A True Disaster of a Film: For the record, the Click Chick saw "2012" last night and left a tad angry. Not only was it overly long, it was overwrought and overly silly. So, silly you might leave thinking it's a comedy and it's not. Do you think I can sue for my 2 1/2 hours back that I spent watching that? You're better off watching "The Poseidon Adventure," "The Towering Inferno" and "Evan Almighty" at the same time.

Toys for Tots: I follow the Marine Corps on Twitter because well, my brother was one of the few, the proud. The USMC has posted a link for Toys for Tots and I'm going to post it too because every child should have a happy Christmas.

Shopping Deals: I know, many of you can't wait for Black Friday or Cyber Monday (which I think should be national paid holiday). Well, you don't have to according to dealnews.com "where every day is Black Friday." Their claim: "We scour over 2,000 online retailers and tens of thousands of deals to deliver the best 100+ deals each and every day." So, there you go. The dealnews.com editor also suggests you check Twitter and Facebook for pre-Black Friday deals from your favorite retailers. They've got some posted online.

Turkey Day Site: Now, I'm sure glad that grocery strike was averted. Who wants a grocery strike right before Thanksgiving? Speaking of Turkey Day, check out Holidays.net's Thanksgiving page. It's got Recipes, pictures to print out for the kids to color, top rated stuffing and all kinds of Thanksgiving related information.
