Gaydos: 2 little 2 late

Obama needed a game changer. He needed to reach you and make you understand that his health care bill must be passed. Did he get his game changer? Here's my opinion - his speech was passionate, well crafted and flawlessly given. I wouldn't have expected anything less from this man. But I don't think he got the game changer he was looking for. It's too late for Obama to turn this mess around. The damage has been done. I saw Obama fight hard like a boxer entering the last round. The only problem was that he was down too many points and needed a KO. Unfortunately, there was no KO in last night's speech.
Obama lost this health care battle before it even started. He trusted an ineffective Congress to get the bill done! They can't tie their own shoes! His "hands off" approach was a huge mistake. Obama said the airwaves filled up with lies about the bill, but he allowed that to happen! He let those lies and misconceptions fester in many angry Americans. He was also ineffective at his summer press conferences on the issue of health care - he went on vacation while people were literally biting each other's fingers off at health care town halls! Obama did nothing to stop the bleeding over the past few months.
There are many things about health care that make me shake my head. Here's one - 50 million Americans do not have health care. If they get coverage from Obama's plan, how can 50 million new patients be treated without extra doctors? How do you care for the 50 million new patients that just became insured?! Good luck...
Finally, ask yourself this question - do you want a government run public option? Do you really want government in control of YOUR health care?! I don't. I'll take private companies over the government any day. The post office for example is the public option for all of us when it comes to shipping. The post office is controlled by the government and loses millions and millions of dollars. It's not reliable. Fed Ex is a private company and a very successful company. I'll take my chances with Fed Ex. Usually, the public option is not better than the private option. My prescription for health care does not include Republicans and Democrats. Just like a kidney stone, I'll pass on Obama's plan.
That's How I Roll!
