Rachel Ray names Valley hot dog the best

A big win for a Valley food company.

Rachel Ray, the top-rated cooking show host, has named Arizona-based Bar-S Beef Franks the best overall hot dog.

The honor comes in this month's issue of the magazine, ``Everyday with Rachel Ray."

The wiener was singled out for its ``incredible juiciness "and ``nice snap." The judges also cited its ``perfect smoky-and-sweet combination," along with a ``great saltiness."

One judge said, ``It's everything a hot dog should be."

Bar-S Foods Co. has been in business for 27 years. Company officials said they are thrilled with Ray's endorsement.
