Former U.S. Surgeon Gen. Richard Carmona Joins Taser's Board

Scottsdale-based Taser International says former U-S Surgeon General Richard Carmona of Tucson has joined its board of directors.

Carmona served as surgeon general from 2002 until last summer.

He currently is vice chairman of health and wellness company Canyon Ranch, CEO of Canyon Ranch Health and president of Canyon Ranch Institute.

Carmona also is serving as the first Distinguished Professor in Public Health at the University of Arizona's Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health.
