PHOENIX - Fewer kids with swine flu are showing up at Phoenix Children's Hospital.
Dr. Paul Tafoya who works in the pediatric ICU says the kids they do see are in better shape than the patients they saw a few weeks back. "So, they're either on the pediatric floor or their seen in the emergency department and are able to go home."
Just three weeks ago, they had several kids in pretty bad shape, but he said they all pulled through.
"And those that are (still) presenting with the swine flu are not as sick."
Tafoya says kids and parents seem to be getting the message about good hygiene.
"I would have to imagine that the education that a lot of parents and families have received regarding good hygiene - so hand hygiene, washing your hands, not picking your nose."
