DPS: Man snapped 66 times by speed cams

PHOENIX - DPS arrested a Peoria real estate agent with a real lead foot for criminal speeding.

They said Elvis Amir Saloum, 29, faces 11 criminal speeding violations, along with one count of reckless driving.

Saloum was caught by photo enforcement cameras on several Valley freeways at speeds ranging 86 to 104 miles per hour, they said.

DPS said he was caught another 55 times by photo enforcement cameras.

They said they'd been looking for him since July, but said beginning in January of this year, he was snapped by photo enforcement cameras on the I-17, the Loop 101, the I-10 and State Route 51 in his 1998 Lexus.

He was arrested Thursday at a mall near his home.

If convicted, he could face the suspension of his driver's license and thousands of dollar in fines.

    cdl holders get points from a photo camera ticket. but you dont talk about fair.ok so im required to be a profesional driver what about cops,firefighters and cab drivers etc etc.only truck drivers get points on there liscence for this offense

    How about the conversations and movements of all of our politicians are recorded and monitored? After they agree to that, I will let them put a traffic camera in my front yard.

    What happened to that idea? I am very willing to blame all of this on the POLICE and the revenue generation devices known as speed cameras. If this guy would have been ticketed 3 of the 55 times, he would have lost his license and or stopped the behavior. That is how the police would have protected US and served US. Instead, this happens over 50 more times. Yes, the idiot deserves the tickets. But you have to be completely honest about 1 thing. The camera didn't deter this guy.
