SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Scottsdale Healthcare will offer a community H1N1 vaccination clinic Saturday, aimed at providing up to 700 free vaccinations to people between six months and 65 years old.
The clinic will be from 8 a.m. to noon at 3634 N. Drinkwater Blvd., near Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center.
Hospital spokesman Steve Jones said you might want to get there early. "I would advise getting there probably between 7 o'clock and 8 o'clock in the morning. You don't want to get out there too early and have to wait in the cold."
"And the wait could be up to a couple of hours, but we've got a process that's developed that moves pretty quickly."
They hope to vaccinate 700 people with the injections and the nasal mist.
This is Scottsdale Healthcare's third free H1N1 vaccination clinic in recent weeks. It provided more than 2,000 free H1N1 vaccinations during community clinics since October.
Scottsdale Healthcare said people who qualify for the Flu-Mist form will receive it, and injections will be limited to those who do not qualify for the mist form.
Doctors reminded parents that children under 9 years require a booster dose of vaccine four weeks after the first dose.
