PHOENIX - County Supervisors have turned down more than a million dollars to battle illegal immigration.

In a two-two vote, the motion to accept the money died. The $1.4 million in state money would have gone to the county attorney and sheriff's offices to enforce illegal immigration.

Mary Rose Wilcox and Don Stapley cast the two no votes. The Arizona Republic reports Wilcox is concerned the sheriff's office will misuse the money while Stapley claims the county's office wasn't willing to brief him on it.

Wilcox is currently under criminal investigation by the sheriff's office and Stapley was indicted in December over issues involving financial disclosure forms.

should both be put in prison for treason! So many innocent people die in accidents each year but scum like this can continue to fester like rotting garbage!

So, two criminal politicians aiding & abetting other foreign criminals invading the United States of America? I think this makes the politicians co-conspiritors of the foreign invaders.

needs to be replaced...she is useless as a county supervisor! Since she works mostly for Mexico, that's where she needs to collect her paycheck!! She is not the only public servant who works for Mexico....it seems to be a trend here!!

just like Joe Arpaio, using the powers of their office as tools of obstruction against a political opponent. Arpaio messed up by announcing his investigation of Wilcox before the vote on his immigration funds.
