Gordon tells Arpaio to denounce neo-Nazis

Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon is reacting to Wednesday's shootings in Washington by calling on Sheriff Joe Arpaio to denounce neo-Nazis.

Gordon claims that on several occasions, Arpaio has given recognition to several neo-Nazis. One incident was in March of 2008 when Arpaio spoke at a UFW Hall in Sunnyslope.

"They're welcoming J.T Ready and Elton Hall," Gordon said. "These are two individuals, one a self-described Nazi, and one a self-proclaimed neo-Nazi."

Gordon says the sheriff posed for pictures with neo-Nazis during a Phoenix immigration march in May and actually told them when immigrant rights marchers would be in their area.

Gordon went on to say Arpaio should apologize for associating with such individuals so that he can begin "righting the ship" in dealing with people who spread hate.

Arpaio has responded to Gordon's comments by calling him a liar and saying his accusations are false.

"I do not support any neo-Nazi hate groups. He knows it," Arpaio said of Gordon. "I don't have to apologize because I never have been connected with any of these associations, and the people know that."

Arpaio went on to say the mayor is out of control and said the accusations are Gordon's latest attempt to get him to stop enforcing immigration laws.

    Mayor Gordon hangs around with a bigot named Michael Crow. Gordon should clean up his own house before meddling in Joe's.

    Phil Gordon has a lot of gall to blast Joe Arpaio. The good old boy Mayor hangs around with one of the bigget bigots, Michael aka Jim Crow. Why don't we know more about Crow's history? The weenie reporters won't write about it because so many Republic reporters work at the ASU Journalism school and won't dare cross Crow. Do a public records search. Look up all the millions ASU spends on outside litigation for discrimination cases linked to Crow. The New Times reports on some of them. Crow carried his bigotry from Columbia. See the case of Chichilnisky vs columbia. Crow was solidly behind that case against a Latina professor. Crow tried to crush her but she fought back. Crow does the same thing here. If you disagree with Crow, he fires you. His temper and bloated ego have costs us millions. And Gordo knows that. Yet Crow is now his sidekick in real estate ventures. I don't care what Gordo says about Joe. At least Joe doesn't smile in your face and stab you in the back like Crow.

    The only reason that gordon made those comments is because he has not been in the news and he's just a drama queen. The media is ALWAYS doing stories about Arpaio & gordon got jealous, so off he went with really stupid comments..... look at me !!!! look at me!!! I'm gordon....
