April Fool's Day! 350 cameras not coming to Valley

News/Talk 92.3 KTAR's Mac and Gaydos revealed Wednesday evening the plan to install 350 speed cameras throughout the Valley was an April Fool's joke.

Also a joke: lowering the speed grace limit from 11 miles over to 5 and the Arizona Fast Pass, allowing drivers to pay to speed ahead of time.

  I love you guys, especially on April Fools day...my co-worker just started talking the stimulus money being spent on speed cams. He was still upset about it! This is soooo funny, you brightened our day again!

  When you open your eyes April 1 2010...view everything with a grain of salt and a suspicious eye. At work, internet sites, co-workers. It's the day. Lord, the 4/1 jokes we did years ago.

  Just talked to my son. They called his work crew in this morning for a safety meeting. They pulled out the map that was on KTAR and warned everyone about the new speed cameras. My son sat back and just giggled and then told them "you know it was an April Fools joke, don't you?" The supervisor had no clue.... It's good to know we can still laugh
