Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard said Congress gets it when it comes to cross-border drug violence.

Goddard just returned from Washington where he testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

"They all had in their individual states evidence of drug cartel violence that they were aware of, so this is truly a national problem," he said.

"Just because it hasn't come across the border in the level of viciousness that we've seen in Mexico doesn't mean it can't. I think the message is we've got to take very stringent, aggressive action now to keep that from happening."

Goddard said he felt the threat is "very palpable, very real."

Goddard is glad Senator John McCain will hold hearings in Arizona next month to address the drug cartel violence.

You know the government doesn't do anything to stop threats to this country until it becomes a public issue. How long has the problem existed before it was even addressed by lawmakers???

Congress gets it? I just watch Pander Pelosi in front of a group of lagal and illegal aliens shout that we need to stop the raids. And as long as her and Reid feel that way, they will bully others into the same thinking. They don't get it, and that is truly scarey.

My parents disciplined me with a healthy spanking with a belt or the hand (not beating with fists or weapons)every now and then when needed. I turned out just fine courteous, respectful, good morals, values, educated, etc...and I'm an only child. If you don't spank them now they will issue you much disrespect and a barrel of Whoopa** later. This here is Geraldine, Bye
