TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State coach Dennis Erickson announced Tuesday the Sun Devils will lose two players for the remainder of the season because of surgery.
Sophomore wide receiver TJ Simpson and freshman defensive tackle Corey Adams will undergo season-ending surgey.
Simpson, who did not break his ankle, will have a screw inserted. His ankle was rolled on by teammate Kyle Williams this past Saturday in the Sun Devils game against the Cal Bears.
Adams will need to have a disc removed after he was hurt in the second quarter this past Saturday.
Other injury news for the Sun Devils saw wide receiver Kerry Taylor return, he had been held out because of a hamstring problem.
Another player returning to the field was cornerback Omar Bolden who has missed the past four games with a knee injury, though Erickson said Bolden is not yet 100-percent.
On the running back front freshman running back Cameron Marshall saw extensive time with the first-team offense. Dimitri Nance had limited reps due to a shoulder injury.
Nance had one carry for one yard on Saturday.
The Sun Devils host the USC Trojans this upcoming Saturday night at Sun Devil Stadium.
