Eating healthy might be easier than you think.
Health Magazine just released its list of the 15 healthiest restaurant chains. Among them Uno Chicago Grills, Chevy's Fresh Mex, P.F. Chang's, Chipotle and Noodles & Co.
And, there's a new option right here in the Valley for people looking to eat healthy.
True Food opened up at the Arizona Biltmore just a couple of weeks ago.
Chef Michael Stebner said the eatery focuses on bringing out the naturally great taste in real food.
"It's globally inspired, so we have dishes from the Asian diet, which is, in and of itself, a healthy diet. The Mediterranean diet is a healthy diet. The California lifestyle diet is a healthy diet. So we kind of drew dishes out of those three cuisines.
No steak on the menu, but you can find several tasty pastas, turkey burgers and even a bacon-lettuce-tomato -- sort of. It's made with tempeh, a fermented soy bean.
"It doesn't taste the same, it tastes better," said Stebner.
Another feature -- "Pizza that has no cheese on it. Tomatoes that are jarred in Tuscany once a year. Super premium luchini tomatoes. We put those on top of the pizza, and it's incredible, with nothing else."
The restaurant even makes its own soda and sparkling water.
Stebner said the homemade dough is so full of flavor that it alone is satisfying.
The restaurant, he said, "was basically spawned from the organic movement."
