For the second straight year, ‘American Idol' Jordin Sparks will perform on the "Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular," airing live from New York City.

"Having the people be here and lights, it's like the city that never sleeps. And it's just like once you get out here you're just like, 'y'know what? I'm good! I can do this! I can perform at this now! I'm good!,'" she said.

Sparks, 18, an Arizona resident, was declared the winner of the sixth season of the reality television show 'American Idol' in 2007.
