Lorrie Henry, personal trainer and co-owner of No Excuses Fitness, will debut on ABC's newest reality show tonight.
"Fat March" takes 12 obese contestants and makes them walk from Boston to Washington, D.C. Henry says she thinks the show is not only fun, but also important.
"I really care about changing the obesity rate in this country right now," she said. "We've become an [accepting] society of our obesity rate, and now it's actually passing on to our children."
The show's twist is that it's simply walking. If someone drops out, the entire group loses $10,000. Henry thinks the shows simplicity and feel-good vibe will catch on with viewers.
"I would love for the world to become a 'Forrest Gump' effect. Just walk. We did it years and years and years ago -- that's how we lived."
