Cardinals getting healthy

by Sports 620 KTAR (November 19th, 2009 @ 8:03pm)

TEMPE, Ariz. - Ten weeks into an NFL season you would be hard pressed to find a team that can say it is completely healthy. While the Cardinals are no exception, one could argue that they are pretty well off.

Of the banged up Cardinals only Chike Okeafor did not practice and has been ruled out for Sunday. Bryant McFadden, Mike Gandy, Karlos Dansby and Michael Adams were all limited but are listed as questioanble. Gerald Hayes, who has missed the team's last two games because of a back injury, took in full practices Thursday and Friday and appears ready to return to the field despite a questionable tag.

"It seemed like a long time, but I had to get myself healthy," Hayes said of his time out. "That's most important so that I can come out there and contribute and help the best way I can."

Road Warriors

With a win against the Rams Sunday the Cardinals would be 5-0 away from University of Phoenix Stadium this year.

The Cardinals, who haven't won five road games in a season since 1975, have found success because of a defense that has been quite stingy on the road. The Cards have given up an average of 14.5 points per game on the road, which is second to the Indianapolis Colts' mark of 12 points per game.

On the verge of history

Cardinals' DB Adrian Wilson is known as a fierce hitter and team leader. He's now just one sack away from being known as the league's 10th 20/20 player.

Wilson, who often plays like a linebacker, has 19 career sacks to go along with 20 interceptions.
