Can having kids lead to an unhappy life?
While many couples either have children or plan on doing so, it may not be the best idea.
In a CNN article, Amitai Etzioni, a professor in international relations at George Washington University and father of five, wonders if the stress and cost of having a child can deduct from the couple's happiness.
While Etzioni was quick to admit that raising a child can be one of the most stressful experiences in life, he then counters that helping people is one of the most important things in forging human connections. When it comes to raising children, the growth process -- from complete dependence to complete independence while maintaining a deep bond -- is unlike any other experience.
What do you think? Is raising children worth the stress and complications? Do you think that, when you look back at your life, you will look back on raising children as the best thing you've ever done?
