Mac & Gaydos discuss how President Obama has been at a rally with Eva Longoria a day after being in New Jersey with Governor Christie.

After making a pit stop to inspect the damage caused by superstorm Sandy, President Barack Obama is already back on the campaign trail.

Reports began to surface Thursday of looting, people eating out of dumpsters and widespread gas shortages were witnessed in the wake of Sandy. Meanwhile, Obama was campaigning for himself alongside Eva Longoria in Las Vegas.

"That ticks me off," said Larry Gaydos, co-host of News/Talk 92.3 KTAR's Mac & Gaydos. "Hanging out with a Hollywood star while people are dumpster-diving in New York City makes him look terrible."

Gaydos said he didn't fault Obama's administration for how it was handling Sandy.

No matter how bad the president may look, both Gaydos and Mac Watson agreed that the president campaigning after a disaster is much better than when former President George W. Bush played golf a few days after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans.

Having the POTUS there takes up valuable resources for security. I am not sure what you would expect him to do? He toured the damaged areas and specifically stated that the red tape for assistance should be bypassed. He brought the director of FEMA with him. IMHO I think that leaving the efforts to the people who's job it is to do the cleanup/assistance is actually the best thing he could do. I am an independant voter and have only come to this opinion based on what I have seen on the news.

The simple fact is that no matter who is currently residing in the White House, their job is to contact the dozens of government agencies who take over the many-faceted jobs of clean-up and restoration - don't recall any former presidents, regardless of party, doing anything more than making a stop-over to talk with the mayor or governor - this is how it's done. Don't recall W cleaning up anywhere after 9/11 or Katrina. But anyway let's do our part, grab a shovel and throw some mud on Obama - that would be patriotic and helpful.
