Applauding Chief Justice Roberts, not Obamacare
Hooray for Chief Justice Roberts!
He lived up to the job of the Supreme Court of The United States. We the people of this country dislike Obamacare.
Roberts indicated that he may not agree with it, but he that's not the job of SCOTUS. His job is to oversee whether of not a law adheres to the U.S. Constitution.
Roberts will be vilified by many. He'll be called a turncoat. Arizona Sen. John McCain has said he should rethink his vote to approve Roberts.
McCain is political, Roberts is not. Elections have consequences. The House passed the law, the Senate passed the law, the president signed the law.
Roberts spoke the most important words of his decision when he said if you don't like what they -- Congress and the president did -- it's up to the American people, at the polls, to make the changes. Do not look to the Supreme Court to make law, but to determine if the law is constitutional.
Roberts did just that. His vote, the vote of a constitutional scholar made the difference. He should be applauded.
Now it's up to us. I believe Roberts deserve all of our gratitude. He put Mitt Romney in the White House.
