Kingman doctor charged with sexual abuse pleads not guilty
A Kingman physician has pleaded not guilty to charges he inappropriately touched nine female employees.
Dr. Ilangovan Govindarajan, known as Govan, entered the plea as more than 20 supporters watched earlier this week. He's charged with nine counts of sexual abuse and nine of aggravated assault.
He was arrested last month and indicted by a Mohave County grand jury on April 10.
The Arizona Medical Board has allowed the internal medicine specialist to continue practicing medicine as long as a licensed female medical provider is in the room with him.
If convicted of the charges he faces from probation to more than 40 years in prison.
