CBS 5 reveals the places in your city where you have the best chance to win the Arizona lottery.

Everybody is looking for an edge when they buy lottery tickets.

"We've been playing about five years," one lottery hopeful said. "Same numbers."

CBS 5 News has uncovered the luckiest lottery stores in the Valley, places with the most $500 plus payouts in the past year and a half.

Here's a quick snapshot:

•  Tempe: Fry's Marketplace at McClintock Drive and Baseline Road with 31 big winners.

•  Gilbert: Fry's Marketplace on Baseline Road near Gilbert Road with 39 big winners.

•  Scottsdale: Safeway store on Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard near Raintree Drive with 48 big winners.

•  Phoenix: Fry's Marketplace at Indian School Road and 83rd Avenue with 68 big winners.

•  Mesa: Albertson's store at Baseline and Dobson roads with 80 big winners.

•  Sun City: Fry's Food Store on Grand Avenue near 106th Avenue with 89 big winners.

Folks there like to think the overly-friendly atmosphere has something to do with the extra luck rubbing off on customers.

"This store must just have that extra little piece that," said Kendra Doyel at Fry's. "Makes people glad to buy their lottery tickets here."

And the luckiest lottery store in the Valley? It's a Safeway on Indian School Road and 141st Avenue in Goodyear with 93 big winners.
