About 200 Fry’s greeters were told their services were no longer needed on Friday.
According to ABC15, the decision was made a year ago but the greeters were told of it on Friday.
Most of the greeters worked about four to 20 hours per week in 121 Arizona stores.
Those who were fired were given a severance package and asked to reapply for a new position within the Fry’s organization.
There have been greeters at Fry’s for about 20 years.
