There has been a rise in the number of illegal immigrants being smuggled in trunks, said U.S. Customs and Border Enforcement in a press release.

In the month of April, Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents have found 25 illegal immigrants being smuggled in the trunk of a vehicle.

Smuggling a person inside of a trunk is often very dangerous for the person being smuggled and has resulted in fatalities in the past.

"The Border Patrol recognizes the dangers associated with human smuggling," said Manuel Padilla, Jr., Deputy Chief Patrol Agent Tucson Sector Border Patrol in the release. "We stand ready with our partners to identify, target and dismantle these criminal organizations that pose a risk to citizens on both sides of the border."

"...with our partners to identify, target and dismantle these criminal organizations that pose a risk to citizens on both sides of the border." Huh? Which partners? Does this mean the Mexican Border Police are checking trunks in the southbound lane for US citizens sneaking into their country? Deputy Chief Patrol Agent Padilla needs to learn how to construct a sentence in English. He also needs to be checking EVERY northbound trunk.
