A new documentary called "Under Arpaio" takes aim Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's illegal immigration, Tent City and pink underwear policies and now Arpaio is aiming back.

"You think I'm going to change for this "Mickey Mouse", whatever you want to call this thing? What, are you kidding? The more you go after it, the more I do it," Arpaio said.

The documentary alleges that murders, torture and assaults have happened in Arpaio's jails and have gone unpunished and unpublished.

Though he has not seen the documentary, Arpaio said that the purpose of the film is to get several of his critics names out there, such as Salvadore Reza, an immigrants rights activist.

"I'm not concerned with these guys," Arpaio said, adding that people both in and out of Maricopa County clearly agree with what he is doing, based on the power that his endorsement holds.

    and the issues are conflated. Yes, Sheriff Joe should be prosecuted for his misconduct and the horrors of his jail. That was true long before SB1070 became an issue, but that surely does not mean that illegal immigration should continue.

    Has comments disabled. Rarely seen in Youtube, that says a lot about this documentary. It is one sided and doesn't want open discussion. Ironic, I thought open discussion and reform was what all this was about. The real agenda speaks clearly.

    is a smoke screen designed to take your eye off the ball of the real problem, illegal immigration. We all know that crime is rampant in all prisons and jails and no group has come forward to address it. It is unfortunate that the only alternative we have had to "Joe Justice", is extremism in the opposite direction of sanctuary cities and vote pandering ie, Gasgon, Harris and Gordon.

    as to what murders, abuse etc that has been covered up. If it's covered up, how do people know about it? My one issue with Sheriff Joe is his food. I am all for having a very expensive menu but it does need to be nutrious. After having someone I know spend time in tent city and work in the kitchen, there does need to be some changes made. No steak and potatoes, but no green meat either. Other than that, I am all for what he is doing...enforcing the laws on the books.

    several LARGE payouts of tax dollars and the highest insurance deducatable of any municipality tells the true tail of what the sherriff has wone and lost in the name of the people. Just cause it never sees a court room or light of day, does not mean it did not happen; the costs say it all.....

    Wouldn't you say that many lawsuits are settled out of court to forgo lengthy court battles. Doesn't mean it happened, just means the Government wanted to get past it.
