Legally Speaking: What if my kid…?

Jul 6, 2014, 8:04 PM | Updated: Apr 27, 2015, 8:39 pm

If you are a parent like me you have probably daydreamed of the many situations your kids could get into that would cause you trouble.

These “daydreams” of mine and other parents prompted this week’s Legally Speaking segment, “What if my kid…?”

I address five situations kids could easily get their parents into and some insight as to what could be done
in each situation. Will you or your kid go to jail? Will you have to talk to the cops? Will your kid get expelled? Will you get sued?

Parents cannot keep their children out of all trouble, even if they are helicopter parents, but a little forward thinking and some insurance could help you in these situations.
