Sports offer a lot of very touching moments, but this is probably the best so far this year.
With a comfortable lead, St. Clairsville (Ohio) running back and Michigan recruit Michael Ferns breaks free of the pack and looks to be set for another touchdown, but he runs out at the one-yard line.
The reason? Freshman linebacker Logan Thompson’s father passed away two days before this clip of a stroke. Ferns wanted Thompson to score the touchdown and even blocked for Thompson on the ensuing play.
