A teenager in New York City is $1 richer after accepting a dare to lick a handrail at a subway station.

University of Arizona microbiologist Charles P. Gerba told NBC News, "If anyone dares you to lick anything in public, lick a toilet seat. It would be safer to lick a toilet than a handrail on a bus."

Spend that buck wisely, kid.
