A little girl is wondering why someone would kill her daddy.
“Twenty-eight-year-old Paul Uriate was shot and killed when he was in an argument with three men in the parking lot of his apartment complex near 32nd Street and Thomas,” said Phoenix Police Sgt. Darren Burch.
It was Friday, July 20, 2007 about 9:30 p.m. Several witnesses heard arguing then gunfire and found Uriate on the ground shot in the chest.
Burch said Uriate’s daughter was eight at the time and is now 13.
“She’s having a hard time, really struggling with the fact that she lost her father and she has no idea why. It’s absolutely split up the family and caused such hardship.”

Our next case really should have been solved by now. With his distinctive build and fedora hat, someone should recognize this robber from surveillance pictures.
“It was two o’clock in the morning when the suspect entered the Walgreens at 43rd avenue and Glendale,” said Burch. “He simulates a weapon, grabs Oxycodone and Oxycontin and leaves.”
The reward has been increased to $2500 on this case.
