Mar 25, 2015, 4:51 PM | Updated: 4:52 pm

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.

• More than 100 people are expected to be hired at a Wednesday job fair in Glendale. Empereon-Constar is looking for customer service specialists, data entry workers, collectors and supervisors. The event begins at 9 a.m. at the company’s location one block south of Bell Road between 51st and 53rd avenues.

• Consumer finance company Springleaf Holdings is also looking from some help. The company is hosting a two-day job fair at the Baseline Corporate Center on Wendler Drive near Interstate 10 and Baseline Road from 9 a.m to 6 p.m. The Tempe-based team members will support Springleaf’s loan operations in the west and back-up operations for the company’s other service centers.

• To celebrate International Waffle Day, head to Jorge’s Chicken and Waffles in Tempe. The first 100 people through the door at the company’s location just east of Rural Road on Apache Road get free waffles!
