Infuriated mom smacks son for participating in Baltimore riots

Apr 28, 2015, 8:32 PM | Updated: Apr 30, 2015, 9:51 pm

As the unrest in Baltimore continues, one mother was NOT happy to see her son participating in the conflict.

In the video, the mom makes it clear that she does not approve of her son joining rioters. We can see she forcibly pushed her son from a crowd while continuing to smack him over the head.

In an interview with CBS News, the mother said she feared her son would be the next Freddie Gray.

The Baltimore rioting erupted after Gray’s funeral, who died in police custody.

The city of Baltimore saw the largest display of civilian violence in the U.S. since the protests that broke out over the death of Michael Brown, an unarmed black 18-year-old who was shot by a white police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, last summer.

This is the first time the National Guard has been called out to quell unrest in Baltimore since 1968, when some of the same neighborhoods burned for days after the assassination of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
