Look at that face.
That’s the face of complete happiness — something Derby the dog has achieved after the creation of 3D prosthetics allowed him to run on all four legs for the first time.
The husky mix was born with deformed front legs and previously owed most of his mobility to a makeshift cart that supported his torso while his back two legs did all the work.
Then 3Dsystems stepped in, creating two custom-made prosthetics to fit his forelegs as a part of the Peace and Paws initiative.
Now, Derby runs two to three miles a day, according to his owners.
All together now: “Aaawwwww!”
