Lost 80s at 4: Huey Lewis' and the many name changes
Initially named Huey Lewis and the American Express (their record label made them change it, fearing a lawsuit), Huey Lewis and The News' most successful decade was undoubtedly the 1980s with their four highest charting albums released between '82 and '88.
Their second album, and the first album to put the band on the map, Picture This, was released on this date in 1982.
Picture This featured a Mutt Lang written song called "We Both Believe in Love."
Lewis made some revisions to the lyrics, and the song was retitled "Do You Believe in Love."
The song became the bands first hit, peaking at No. 7 that year.
