WASHINGTON (AP) - D.C. police say at least one shot was fired during a car chase near the White House that followed a robbery.

The robbery occurred just after 6 a.m. on Friday when several suspects robbed a group of five men and then drove off.

Commander George Kucik says two of the victims got in their car and gave chase. One of the suspects fired at least one shot, but the bullet struck a car and no one was injured.

He says the victims then drove to the area of the White House and asked the Secret Service for help.

He says the robbery and shooting had nothing to do with the White House, and that police are still interviewing witnesses.

No one was in custody as of noon Friday.

    And in Other News . . .
Firing upon a US military aircraft in international waters is an act of war. But When iran did so on November 1, our illustrious President failed to mention it to us or to take action. Only now, after the election, was the trivial matter leaked. And the attack is not even mentioned on KTAR. Just mentioning, for those thinking we are still a free and sovereign nation.

    So, 2cents, what's your point?
As a veteran of a few deployments overseas, I guarantee you there are many altercations that the citizens of the United States have not heard about!! Stop being an alarmist! This was a confidential mission that the public did not need to know about. Do you believe that we should attack Iran now? You don't even know what the mission was all about and what this Drone was doing in the area. Get over yourself man..!

well, gmoney, since you ask . . .
My point was that we have not been apprised of number of US mishaps abroad, not because they were deemed military confidential, but rather were covered up, timed, and repackaged for political gain. The Pentagon themselves released the drone attack story, but belatedly, after election. The White House released the Benghazi story, but only a belated, twisted version after prodding. Sorry, but attacks upon the US in international or US territory are my right to know, and the Presidents obligation to report, immediately and truthfully.
