LAKE HAVASU, Ariz. — The six bicyclists who were struck by a truck during
a charity ride in Show Low are now in stable condition.
Today’s News-Herald reported four of the six cyclists
had been released from a local hospital and all six had been listed in stable
condition as of Friday.
The names of the injured cyclists haven’t been released.
The bikers had been participating in the Journey of Hope, an Ability Experience
program used to raise awareness and funds for people with disabilities.
On Friday, the bikers had been passing through Arizona on the 4,000-mile route,
which started in California and will end in Washington, D.C., when they were hit
by a passing truck.
A spokesman with the program said Monday that an investigation into
the crash was ongoing.
