PHOENIX — The Arizona Registrar of Contractors has suspended the licenses
of two Phoenix-based pool companies for abandoning work before completion.
The state agency temporarily suspended the license of the sister companies
doing business as Paddock Pools and Cameo Pools last week.
Agency director Jeff Fleetham said some Phoenix-area homeowners have 12-feet
deep unfinished holes in their backyards while others have nothing more than
lines drawn on the ground.
He said concerns about public health and safety
required the agency to act.
Citations filed against the companies included a combined 24 violations for
failure to perform all work, failure to take corrective actions and abandonment.
Neither company immediately returned requests for comment.
The Arizona Registrar of Contractors is investigating an additional 24
complaints filed within the last two months.
