PHOENIX — Arizona is the eighth-most deadly state in which to live in the nation, according to a recent study conducted by WalletHub.
Arizona has the third-highest share of the population with no health insurance and the third-highest pedestrian fatality rate per 100,000 residents.
Though Arizona ranked in the upper half of the U.S. in workplace safety and the number of sex offenders per 100,000 residents, placing 14th and 21st respectively, it once again sank to the bottom half in unemployment rate, ranking 42nd.
Massachusetts, Vermont, Minnesota, New Hampshire and Hawaii all ranked among the top five safest states to live.
Mississippi, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee and New Mexico were the most deadly states in the nation.
