GILBERT, Ariz. — One of the most well know and beloved symbols for Vietnam veterans is the Vietnam Memorial wall in Washington, D.C. On Saturday, May 2, the City of Gilbert will unveil the Arizona Vietnam Wall Project, another timeless symbol commemorating the war.
“It’s 360 feet long and eight feet high,” said Lisa Rigler President and Chair of Operation Welcome Home and the Arizona Wall Project. “The wall will have over 58,000 names on it.”
The City of Gilbert is helping to make the future memorial, museum and park a legacy that will stand for all veterans for generations to come.
The Vietnam Memorial Wall will be completed on Veteran’s Day 2017.
