Big cheese: Sam Fox earns restaurateur of year honors from Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame

PHOENIX — Sam Fox, whose popular restaurants in the Phoenix area include the Yard, Arrogant Butcher and Zinburger, has been named restaurateur of the year by the Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame.
The Phoenix Business Journal reported that the Tucson-bred Fox was named at the awards on Monday night.

Fox told the Dowtown Devil before the awards, “It’s a nice honor … you know it’s a really hard business, so everyone works really hard in their organization.
“So when you get nominated or you get awards for things like that, it’s always a feel-good moment for the organization.”
