A Rimrock man has turned himself in the murder of his wife.
Manuel Lopez-Moncada was a suspect and person-of-interest in the murder of his wife Maria Cecilia Nava Pila. She was found by Yavapai County police Friday outside a residential trailer in Rimrock. Emergency Medical Services personnel confirmed her death was due to head trauma stemming from an assault.
Lopez-Moncada called to turn himself in and admitted to police that he was involved in Nava Pila’s murder. Lopez-Moncada was booked at the Camp Verde Detention Center on a charge of murder, the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
