Reports on Friday had a storm bringing plenty of rain to the Valley on Saturday night and Sunday.
That rain is still expected to come, but most of it will likely arrive later than previously predicted.
Austin Jamison, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Phoenix, said sporadic rain will likely fall Saturday and Sunday, but significant rainfall isn’t expected until the weekend is over.
“We might start to see a little bit more shower activity Sunday, but it’s looking now like Monday is going to be the better window of opportunity for the widespread, heavier rainfall,” he said.
“We’ll have this hit-and-miss, mostly miss, kind of shower activity the rest of (Saturday) and tonight.”
Jamison said the Phoenix area will probably see between one-half and three-quarters of an inch of rain on Monday.
